The Mission

My goal at Camping Guidance is to provide the best gear reviews and tutorials related to camping, hiking, and backpacking.

I get that it’s frustrating to read product reviews and learn skills from someone who’s never even used a specific product (perhaps never even been camping!), so the Camping Guidance website and YouTube channel is here to remedy that. Here, you’ll find only 100% authentic and hands-on reviews and tutorials.

The STORY

I’ve been in outdoors clubs since I was 13 (so more than a decade now!), where I got to try out many different outdoor activities like camping, hiking, kayaking, climbing, diving and more. Over time, I realized that my true love lies with camping (and mostly day hiking for now, though I definitely want to explore more with time).

Having realized that, I created this Camping Guidance website and the accompanying Camping Guidance YouTube channel to share my hobby and my love of these outdoor activities with you.

My name is Liz Ho, and I’m the owner and founder of CampingGuidance.com. With more than a decade of camping experience, plus a few years of product testing experience (specifically, camping products) under my belt, I think it’s safe to say I know a thing or two about camping.

But camping’s not all that I’m passionate about. I also really love helping my readers and YouTube viewers with whatever questions they may have, and this is the highlight of my every day. (Not an exaggeration: You will get a response on your YouTube comment on my videos within 24 to 48 hours.)
